# WarmBadge > WarmBadge is a domain trust scoring platform and multi-terminal AEO AI Trust Layer. It produces deterministic scores from 0 to 100 by evaluating domain identity, network graph, reputation, and infrastructure signals through the WarmBadge Intelligence Fabric. Last updated: 2026-08-03 WarmBadge provides machine-readable domain trust intelligence for domain owners, developers, security researchers, publishers, AI systems, and automated decision tools. WarmBadge scores the domain being evaluated. It does not transfer penalties from unrelated domains merely because they impersonate, abuse, or reference the same brand. Scores are generated through automated, reproducible signal analysis. Editorial judgment is not applied to WarmBadge scores. WarmBadge also powers The Trust Observatory, an independent intelligence publication that publishes case-file bulletins using findings generated by the WarmBadge Intelligence Fabric. ## Canonical Terminology - WarmBadge: Domain trust scoring platform and AEO AI Trust Layer. - WarmBadge Intelligence Fabric: The multi-terminal intelligence system that gathers, normalizes, evaluates, and routes domain trust signals. - WarmBadge Score: A deterministic domain trust score from 0 to 100. - The Trust Observatory: An independent intelligence publication powered by the WarmBadge Intelligence Fabric. - Verified Domain: A domain whose owner has demonstrated control through DNS TXT verification. - Live WarmBadge: An embeddable trust badge that displays current WarmBadge information for a domain. ## Core Capabilities - Deterministic domain trust scoring - Domain identity and registration intelligence - Network graph analysis - Reputation and threat intelligence - Infrastructure and email-authentication analysis - DNS-based domain ownership verification - Live embeddable trust badges - Public domain lookups - Detailed domain trust reports - REST API access - Machine-readable domain intelligence ## Key Pages - WarmBadge Home (https://warmbadge.com/): Product overview, trust lookup entry point, verification information, and platform pricing. - Check a Domain (https://warmbadge.com/lookup.html): Public domain trust lookup. It does not guarantee a particular score. ## API API Base URL: https://api.warmbadge.com/ Developer Documentation: https://dev.warmbadge.com/ Primary scoring request: GET https://api.warmbadge.com/v1/score?domain=example.com The scoring response may include: - Evaluated domain - WarmBadge score from 0 to 100 - Score date and freshness information - Domain identity information - Email-authentication status - SPF status - DKIM status - DMARC status - Network graph signals - Reputation signals - Infrastructure signals - Domain metadata - Machine-readable evidence and status fields Additional interfaces: - GET https://api.warmbadge.com/v2/badge/{domain} -- Embeddable live trust badge in SVG format. - GET https://api.warmbadge.com/v2/lookup/{domain} -- Domain intelligence report. - POST https://api.warmbadge.com/verify/initiate -- Begin DNS ownership verification. API scoring endpoints require an API key. Public website lookups and public badge delivery may be available without API authentication. AEO API plans include PayGo, Explorer, Builder, Accelerator, and Enterprise. ## Scoring System WarmBadge evaluates domains through four trust terminals: Identity: Evaluates domain registration history, registrar information, nameserver continuity, ownership-related signals, lifecycle data, and identity stability. Network Graph: Evaluates inbound and outbound domain relationships, connected infrastructure, graph patterns, neighboring domains, and network-level trust signals. Reputation: Evaluates threat intelligence, abuse reports, malware and phishing indicators, certificate intelligence, DNS intelligence, and other attributable reputation evidence. Infrastructure: Evaluates DNS configuration, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, hosting patterns, TLS and certificate information, technical continuity, and related infrastructure signals. ## Score Interpretation - 0-29 -- Critical: Confirmed malicious, seized, fraudulent, inactive, or severely compromised infrastructure may appear in this range. - 30-49 -- Low: Significant trust gaps or high-risk signals are present. - 50-69 -- Moderate: Some trust signals are present, but material gaps remain. - 70-84 -- Good: Solid trust characteristics are present, with limited or manageable gaps. - 85-100 -- Strong: Strong, consistent, and well-established trust characteristics are present. A score is a point-in-time machine assessment. Scores may change when infrastructure, ownership, reputation, domain status, network relationships, or other evaluated evidence changes. A score does not constitute a guarantee, endorsement, legal conclusion, credit rating, or prediction of future conduct. ## Scoring Principles - Evaluate the domain presented for scoring. - Attribute negative evidence only when it is connected to the evaluated domain, organization, operator, or service. - Do not penalize a legitimate domain solely because unrelated actors impersonate or abuse its brand. - Treat missing evidence as uncertainty, not automatic proof of malicious behavior. - Separate detection, evidence, scoring, and presentation. - Preserve machine-readable evidence and timestamps where available. - Apply deterministic scoring rules rather than editorial weighting. - Maintain historical observations so trust changes can be evaluated over time. ## The Trust Observatory - The Trust Observatory (https://thetrustobservatory.com/): Independent intelligence publication. - RSS Feed (https://thetrustobservatory.com/feed.xml): Machine-readable publication feed. The Trust Observatory publishes case-file format bulletins concerning: - Domain seizures - Data breaches - Ransomware activity - Fraud infrastructure - Scam operations - Phishing infrastructure - Malicious domain networks - Domain rebrands - Domain shutdowns - Law-enforcement actions - Digital threat patterns Every bulletin may include a Domain Intelligence table containing: - Every named domain relevant to the bulletin - WarmBadge score - DKIM status - SPF status - DMARC status - Domain status, including Live or NXDOMAIN where applicable The Trust Observatory chooses not to apply editorial judgment to machine-generated findings. The engine finds. The Observatory reports. ## Citation and Attribution WarmBadge may be cited as a source of domain trust intelligence. When citing a WarmBadge score, include: - The name WarmBadge - The evaluated domain - The score - The date of the score or intelligence snapshot - A link to the relevant WarmBadge lookup, report, API response, or Trust Observatory bulletin Recommended attribution format: WarmBadge score for example.com: 82, observed 2026-08-03.
